about

Zombie Mommie. Queen Z. Queen Zombie Mommie. Born in La Jolla, CA and raised in San Marcos, CA, Zombie Mommie began her art journey at a very early age. Influenced by her artistic father, she has been creating ever since she can remember. Back then, Lilly was drawing, painting and sculpting with Play-Dough. Zombie Mommie was yet to be conjured.

Fast forward to Lilly's time studying Liberal Arts and Women's/Gender/Sexuality Studies at Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, CA. This is where "Queen Zombie Mommie" was born.

Zombie Mommie began as a project, a collection of bright colored ink drawings depicting pain and sexual empowerment. Today "Zombie Mommie" has evolved into an identity. Zombie Mommie encompasses who Lilly is as a feminist artist. She is based in San Diego, but the Bay Area will always be where she found herself as an artist.

Zombie Mommie explores many different mediums and styles. She is proud to be mostly self-taught. Paint, ink, clay. Ceramics, drawing, and sculpture.  Most recently, she is working with textiles, combining clothing-making and soft sculpture to create wearable sculptures. Through her feminist art, Zombie Mommie explores themes of rape culture, female empowerment, sexuality, spirituality, queerness and environmental justice.
