The pieces in this collection are made with my own paint made from earth pigments, collected from forests, beaches and my spice cabinet. Painted with dirt, crushed stones, ash, charcoal, etc. The natural pigments bring a unique texture and sparkle to each painting.

I start by collecting the natural materials, whether that be rusty dirt found on the roadside or charcoal from my fireplace. Then I use a mortal and pestle to crush the materials into a fine powder. When mixed with acrylic medium, the powder becomes paint.
Each painting contains pieces of the earth. Hang one of these paintings on your wall to bring the outdoors indoor.
